‘Sherehe’ (party) is a musical embodiment of Saturday night life in Kenya's capital, celebrating drinking, partying and dancing in your finest attire. Sonically, the song pays homage to traditional Kenyan Rumba, underpinned by modern Afrobeats grooves, fresh electronic production and guided by Yaba's fiendishly catchy hooks
Recorded as part of Village Cuts’ artist residency in Nairobi last year, in which they teamed up with a host of rising stars of Nairobi’s underground music scene to create new works that fuse traditional Kenyan styles with modern electronic productions.
